New business contacts are indispensable elements to furthering company development, through
new purchasing sources, clients, technical solutions or human resources. The Speed Business
Meeting (SBM hereafter) is a networking model which aims to help you develop new business
relationships through 10 minute long B2B meetings with randomly selected partners, where you
have the chance to introduce yourself and your company, your product(s) and targets: the research
of new customers, suppliers or partners. This is followed by a networking reception to further establish new business contacts.
How does it work?
- At the Canadian Chamber registration desk, the staff will give each participant a card with either a number, or with a number and the letter A (i.e. 5 or 5A).
- The number indicates the table where the two participants should be sitting at the beginning of the SBM.
- When the bell rings, each person has a 5-minute speaking time. After 10 minutes, the bell rings again and the person with the number and the letter A (i.e. 5A) should move to the next
table up (i.e. 6). The person with only a number stays at the table throughout the SBM event.
- 7 meetings will take place at the event.
- A 10-minute break will be taken at around 6:45 p.m.
Note: if nobody joins you at your table, please ask the organizers to assist you, they will seat you at another table.
